Spice Mix

  • 24 green cardamoms
  • 18 black peppers
  • 1 teaspoon anise seeds
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

 Tea for 2 Cups

  • 1-1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp tea leaves
  • 2 tsp sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Chai Spice Mixture


  • Mix all the spices and grind them together to form a powder. Store the chai spice mixture in an airtight container.
  • Boil the water and milk in a pan with 1/4 teaspoon spice mixture. When the water boils, reduce the flame to low and add the tea leaves and sugar to it. Cover the pan and leave it for around 2-3 minutes.
  • Now strain the mixture and serve it hot.
  • Adjust the sugar as per taste.


It is a festive drink and can be served hot or cold. Milk with bl the nd of nuts and flavored with saffron to provide a beautiful orange-yellow color and different flavor and aroma.

  • 2-3 cups of milk
  • 10 almonds
  • 10 pistachios
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar as per taste
  • Few strands of saffron

 For Garnishing

  • 1 tsp thinly sliced pistachios


  • Soak the almonds and pistachios 10 minutes in hot water. Peel off the skin of the almonds and the pistachios.
  • Grind the almonds and pistachios until they are smooth, using 2-3 tbsp of milk.
  • Boil the remaining milk in a heavy bottom pan over a medium-high flame with periodic stirring to prevent burning.
  • Add the almond paste, sugar, cardamom and saffron strands to it. Lower the flame to low and leave it for around 4-5 minutes, stirring often. Then turn off the heat.
  • Serve it warm or chilled.
  • Garnish it with pistachios.

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 black peppers
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 crushed cardamom
  • 2 tsp sugar


  • 1 cup chai tea recipe above
  • 1-1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder


For the chai tea

  • In a medium saucepan, add all the chai ingredient and boil them over medium-high heat. Once it is boiling then let it boil for around 1 minute. Then turn off the heat and cover the pot and leave it for around four to five minutes. Now remove the tea bags and strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer.

For the latte

  • In a medium-size saucepan (boil the milk in a microwave while covering the milk, and add sugar and a pinch of cinnamon to boil. Using an immersion blender blend the milk until it is frothy.
  • Pour half cup of chai tea into a mug. Now slowly add half of the warm, frothy milk to the tea. Sprinkle the top of the chai latte with an extra pinch of cinnamon.
  • Serve it hot.
